Orlo Ray Johnson
Age 80, our loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away March 26, 2018. Born August 28, 1937 in Lansing, MI. Orlo served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force, working as a jet mechanic on F-100 fighter jets. He started at General Motors on the assembly line, and drove fork truck and later went into skilled trades as an electrician and retired after 46 years of service. He enjoyed Goldwing motorcycling, golfing, archery, bicycle riding, and walking the area trails.
Surviving are his 2 sons, Eric (Lisa) Johnson, and Bradley (Stephanie, Fiancée) Johnson; 3 grandchildren Olivia Wynter, Colin Johnson, and Tiger Lily Johnson; great-granddaughter, Zuri; and many nieces and nephews. Orlo was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Lynn Johnson; parents, Clarence Ray & Elsie Johnson; 3 sisters, Helen Knapp, Norma Jean Johnson, and Dorothy Olcheske; brother, Howard Johnson.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 A.M. Monday with the Memorial Service at 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 2, 2018 in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Military Honors by Morley S. Oates V.F.W. Post #701. Contributions may be made to League of Michigan Bicyclists or the East Lansing Parks for the Northern Tier Trail.
