Obituary of Frederick Partlow
Frederick Paul Partlow, 74, went to be with his Lord on April 13, 2018. He was born September 11, 1943 in Lansing, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merrill and Maxine (Ismay) Howe. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; children, Dan (Megan) Partlow, Elizabeth Rich, and John Partlow; grandchildren, Jackson and Madison Partlow, Alyson Schaafsma, Mackenzie and Patrick Rich; and brother, Bruce Howe. Fred is a graduate of Lansing Sexton High School, Michigan State University, Aquinas College, and Cooley Law School. He taught over 40 years at Lansing Catholic and Okemos High Schools. He was an avid reader, Jeopardy aficionado, a world traveler, a lover of Broadway musicals, classical music and a master teacher. He had an artistic flair – especially when it came to decorating his home and the homes of his friends. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved volunteering and helping others, especially at St. Clare Centre in Kenya. He was a man of deep faith and commitment who touched the lives of his family, his friends, his students and his co-workers. He was the embodiment of “Well done good and faithful servant.” Visiting with the family will take place 6-8 PM Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the Parish Center at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4433 West Willow, Lansing, MI. Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at St. Gerard with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
