Obituary of Norma Jean Finnerty

Norma Jean Finnerty, 90, passed away on July 7, 2018.  She was born July 29, 1927 to Mr. & Mrs. George C. Braught, Sr. (Helen W. Pelton) in White House, OH.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Kate A. Braught and Peg Barr; brother, George C. Braught, Jr.; and husband, Michael A. Finnerty; 2 grandchildren, Jessica and Robert Finnerty; great-grandson, John Klaker; and son-in-law, Jim Ray Pruitt.  She is survived by 4 daughters, Sue Slater, Cathy (Mike) Patino, Karen Pruitt, and Bridget (Gary) Lilly; 5 sons, Pat, Dave (Val) Jim, Tim, and Bill; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.  She loved her family gatherings at the lake, and loved to go fishing.  She also loved her casino trips and had a “Midas Touch” with her beloved slots!  She also enjoyed her winter trips to Daytona Beach, FL with her trusty driver, “Bates” Billy.  The fun crew (she and all her girls) would arrive the next day – and let the shenanigans begin!  Wherever she was, a wonderful time was enjoyed by all.  Her generous heart and spirit she shared lovingly with everyone.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.  Do not measure your grief by her worth – for your sorrow will have no end.  We love you, Mom!  Funeral Mass is 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw Street, Lansing with Fr. John P. Klein officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday  6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.  The family is being served by Tiffany Funeral Home.  Friends may visit the guest book at
