Obituary of Nancy Card
Nancy Lee (Seiler) Card, 78 of Grand Ledge, took her first breath in heaven January 18, 2019 while surrounded by her beloved family. Nancy was born on May 1, 1940 to Beatrice and Howard Seiler who preceded her in death. The oldest of two children, Nancy was incredibly close to her father and is no doubt rejoicing to be in his embrace once again.
Nancy’s heart was drawn to animals from a very young age. Her love of all furry and feathered creatures was an important part of who she was as a person. She turned her passion for animals into a career as a dog groomer. Nancy opened and operated “Grand Ledge Pet Grooming” for many years, and remained active in the pet care world long after selling the business.
The only things Nancy loved more than her pets were her family and friends - in particular, her son, Aaron. When Aaron and his wife, Halette, welcomed their son, Theodore, in 2018, Nancy was over the moon. Getting to watch her “little doll face” grow and explore brought her endless joy. She will always be an important part of his life.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved pets Jester and Amy Jo. She is survived by her son, Aaron (Halette) Card; brother, Howard “Jack” (Wendy) Seiler; ex-husband/friend, Don Card; step-daughter, Dana Sudduth; grandsons, Ryan Sudduth and Theodore Card; and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a memorial and celebration of her life will be held April 27, 2019. There will be more details to come. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society.
