Robert D. “Bob” Davis
Age 73, our husband, father, and grandfather passed away unexpectedly on January 18, 2019. Born Sept. 18, 1945 in Lansing, MI. Bob was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam, where he earned a military honor. He retired as a statistical process control man at General Motors, after 30 years of service. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #652. In 2005, Bob and Cora founded the Teal Water Ranch, raising Alpacas. They also raised and showed purebred Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. He enjoyed the outdoors, including boating, fishing, camping, and hunting. He was a talented wood carver, making many items, especially decoys. He was developing his artistic side with adult coloring.
Surviving are his beloved companion and wife of 38 years, Cora Foley; 2 daughters, Melissa (Abe) Andrus, and Amanda Marin; 3 grandchildren, Jaime, Sophia, and David Rivera; brother, Daniel (Shelly) Davis; and many other family members and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, A. J. and Grace L. Davis.
Visitation is 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Monday, Jan 21, with services 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 22, in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing with Rev. Jerry Bukoski officiating. Interment will be in South Bingham Cemetery, with Military Honors. Contributions in memory of Bob may be made to a veteran group of your choice.
