It is with great sadness that we annouce Janet C. Barberio, 84, wife, sister, mother and grandmother went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2019.  She was born February 2, 1934 to Leonard Peter and Barbara Anna (Koenigsknecht) Rademacher in Fowler, MI.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Germaine; and brother-in-law, Clare Pung.  She is survived by her husband, Joseph Barberio; daughter, Nancy (Christopher) Hayden; 3 sons, Dr. Dominic (Jenny) Barberio, John (Jana) Barberio, and Dan (Sally) Barberio; 8 grandchildren; 2 brothers, John Rademacher and James Rademacher; and 6 sisters, Teresa Pung, Sister Alice Rademacher OP, Lucy Orr, Diane Burns, Ruth Ann Thelen, and Susan Fedewa.  Janet was a graduate of Fowler High School, class of 51, where she was Valedictorian. She was true to her yearbook description “Small in stature, but stong in mind.”  She worked for the State of Michigan, Department of Treasury as a Computer Programmer, and formerly as a realtor for Gardner Realty.  She was a member of Catholic Community of St. Jude where she served in the Circle Group. She was also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.  Funeral Mass is 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Catholic Community of St. Jude, 801 N. Bridge St., DeWitt with Fr. Robert Irish officiating.  Visitation is 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Monday at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing with Rosary Service at 7 PM.  Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  The family is being served by Tiffany Funeral Home.  Friends may visit the guest book at www.tiffanyfuneralhome.com
