Donald Linn Holbrook
Donald Linn Holbrook, 78, passed away February 23, 2019. He was born October 12, 1940 in Lansing, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmont Russell and Maxine Elaine (Hatt) Holbrook; and 3 brothers, George, Harold, and Russ. He is survived by his wife, Ramona; 2 daughters, Terry (George) Brace and Sandy (James) Mauldin; 2 sons, Joey (Robin) Taylor and Donald (Theresa) Holbrook; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and brother, Brad (Mary) Holbrook. Don retired from General Motors where he worked as a skilled trades diesel mechanic for 29 years. Following his retirement, he owned and operated Holbrook Trucking in Dimondale. He was also a member of UAW #652.
He was a proud Army Veteran.He enjoyed fishing with anyone who wanted to go. He couldn't pass up a dollar store in search of finding something that someone could use. He was the most caring and giving man anyone could ever meet. But, most importantly he loved and was very proud of his family and friends.
Funeral Service is 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing with Pastor Jason Devrow officiating. Visitation is 4-8 PM Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Dimondale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Mayo Clinic through the funeral home. The family is being served by Tiffany Funeral Home.
