Obituary of Carla Jean (Franklin) Selis

Carla Jean Selis

(Franklin)

Potterville, Michigan

Carla Jean Selis, a woman strong in faith and filled with grace, went home to the arms of her Heavenly Father on May 10, 2019. She was surrounded by her family – husband Allen, sons Aaron (Megan), Steven, and Isaac, and daughter Lindsay (Dave) – as she stepped over the threshold into the joy of eternity.

Carla was a fierce warrior in prayer and stood on the Biblical promises of her Father in Heaven not only at the end of her life, but throughout. She had a passion to see the power of God displayed on the earth, and believed vehemently in His willingness to bless His children with “every spiritual blessing in Christ.” Carla’s passions included prayer and Biblical study, time with family, art (in many forms), God’s creation, the nation of Israel, and caring for those who might otherwise be overlooked.

Carla was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy and aside from her husband of 33 years and their four children, she is survived by her father Fay “Juny”, as well as her siblings Ron (Barbara), Steve (Kathy), Gail (Mike) and Terri. She will also be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, as well as other extended family and dear friends.

A celebration of Carla’s life will begin with a visitation at 10 am on Friday May 17th at Tiffany Funeral Home on 3232 W. Saginaw St. in Lansing, MI, followed by a service at 11 am. Pastor Phil McKinney will officiate.
