Lansing, Michigan

Age 66, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away on August 29, 2019.  Born April 17, 1953 in Memphis, TN. Brenda retired in 2006 from General Motors after 32 years of service, and was a member of U.A.W. Local 1618. She was a member of Eliezer Temple Church.  She enjoyed crocheting and cooking, but most of all she was a caregiver taking care of everyone.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Christian (Duana) Benn; special niece and nephew, Cassandra and Joshua; 7 grandchildren, Jemiah, Christian, Kelsey, Talisha, Lasavian, Breylen, and Mieya; 6 great-grandchildren;  3 sisters, Sandra (Jerry) Pitts, Tabatha Brown, and April Brown; brother, Fernando (Cynthia) Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.  Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Jean Brown; father, David Brown, Jr.;  5 siblings,  Emma Sue Pendleton, Doris Candies, Kenneth Benn, Dwayne Brown, and Sherrie Marie Brown.

Visitation is from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday, Sept 6, in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing.  Services will be 12:00 Noon, September 7, 2019 at Delta Center Cemetery with Bishop David Maxwell and Elder Benjamin Fomby officiating.  For those wishing, contributions in memory of Brenda may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
