Obituary of M. Jean Dadd
M. Jean Dadd
Age 92, our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away October 20, 2019 at her home surrounded by family. Jean was born December 7, 1926 in Lake Odessa, Michigan.
In her early years, while raising her family with Lester, Jean spent time swimming, boating, camping and spending time with extended family and friends. She was a member of a card club, enjoyed gardening, and feeding and watching the birds that visited her yard. Reading was a passion as was watching tennis, ice skating, and other sports on TV.
Jean's most treasured moments were being with her children and grandchildren. She loved to bake and cook for them whether she was at her home in Lansing or her cottage on the lake and always made every holiday of the year special for all of them.
Jean leaves her family with an abundance of treasured memories that she created with her warm loving heart and wonderful laugh and smile.
She will always be deeply loved and truly missed.
Surviving are her 3 sons, Larry Dadd, Dale (Valerie Shebroe) Dadd, and Rick (Vickie) Dadd; daughter, Janice (Dave) Leeak; grandchildren, Michelle (Matt) Selby, Ami Dadd (Damon Bloch), Jeremy (Stacey) Dadd, and Benjamin (Allison Wagner) Dadd; 8 great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Selby, Rachel Selby, James F. Durante, III, Adriana Durante, Caleb Bloch, Carson Dadd, Kayleigh Dadd, and Dakota Dadd; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Lester L. Dadd; great-grandson, Hunter Bloch; mother, Edith (Raloff) White; father, Claude White; siblings, Alvin White, Gayland White, Lucille Thorp, Gayla Erridge, Gerald White, Richard White, and Kathleen Brunson.
